Big moon and big honor

The blue Lunascope wins the iF Design Award
MeisterSinger can add a further major design award to the list of those it has already received for its single-hand watches, as the blue version of the Lunascope moon phase watch has won the prestigious iF Design Award.

High-precision aesthetics

The Lunascope is the first MeisterSinger watch to be designed with an astronomical complication. Its construction and design are in keeping with the company’s high standards in terms of the technology and aesthetics of its products. The watch thus became a talking piece at the Baselworld in 2018 not only because of its unusually large moon phase display. It is also remarkable for the outstanding precision with which the realistically depicted moon moves across the dial, as the display only needs to be adjusted by one day once every 128 years.

Modern night sky

The blue version of the Lunascope turns the entire dial into a night sky, creating a romantic scene, which,
however, combines well with the typical, functional MeisterSinger stylistic elements, such as the needlesharp, instrument-like hand and the sans serif, doubledigit hour numerals. From 6,400 products submitted from 54 countries, the expert jury of the iF Design Award singled out the Lunascope to be honored for its excellent modern design. After the success of the Circularis in 2015 and the Adhaesio in 2016, the fact that the Lunascope has now also received this award, which is rich in tradition and highly regarded in the industry, is priceless acknowledgement of MeisterSinger’s creative work.
